AIM Call Out service no longer available after 25th March 2009

Last year, if you remember, AIM call out had offered unlimited phone calls for two days around Mothers day with the initial purchase of as little as $5 credit (click here)

It might be possible that you made the free calls and your $5 credit remained in AIM call out, I am writing this blog to let you know that AIM Call Out service, phone call service of AOL voice services will close on March 25, 2009, and as of that date you will no longer be able to make calls with the service. 

If you have some amount left in your account, you are requested to use it completely so that you do not wait for the refund. However If you have any credit left in your account when the service shuts down, you’ll receive a refund on your method of payment within 60 days.

Using AIM Call Out to make calls is easy. Pull on a headset, or use a mic and speakers. Click the phone icon under your Buddy List in AIM 6.5 or higher to bring up the Call Center. What Do You Need To Do?

Sign up for AIM Call Out with your AIM or AOL screen name. If you don’t have a free screen name you can set one up when you register. Add as little as $5 credit* to your account and you’re good to go.

When Can You Call?

The Mother’s Day promotion starts at 06:00 EDT on Saturday, May 10th and runs until 04:00 EDT on Monday, May 12th, check you local time difference with EDT - Eastern Daylight Time, EDT is 4 hours behind of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)

How Long Can I Talk?

Make as many calls as you want and talk as long as you want, you can talk endlessly WOW!!!!

What’s excluded?

Calls to Inmarsat, Thuraya and Iridium Satellite Services. Calls cannot be made to Ghana, Egypt, Brunei, Comoros, Croatia, Morocco, Oman and Zaire.
