S Tel Private Limited (S Tel), a new GSM telecom operator in the Indian marketplace, is a joint venture between Siva Group (formerly Sterling Infotech Group) and Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco). STel has got Unified Access Services Licenses (UASL) to operate in six Category C circles of India – Orissa, Bihar, Himanchal Pradesh, North East, Assam and Jammu & Kashmir. Company has plans to provide Mobile service, wireless broadband and Value Added Service(VAS).
