You can buy a day pass for $4.99/€3.49/£2.99 ($5.74/€4.01/£3.44 including VAT) or a monthly subscription for just $8.99/€5.99/£4.99 ($10.34/€6.89/£5.74 including VAT) per month.
If you sign up for group video calling in the first month, you’ll receive a 33% discount on 3 and 12 month subscriptions. In addition, you’ll get a 25% discount off an HD webcam.

Since Microsoft became the owner of Skype, I feel that Skype is getting hungry for money.. you have the right to take money for group video calls, but what about a conference call with only one cam open and two who are only watching with no cams open, what is the added cost for you ?? Microsoft knows how to make people's life uglier.
