Works good. Only problem is no ringing tone when you dial a phone no. On connection, it works fine.
ReplyDeleteAre there any other options besides GoogleVoice? Any other GoogleVoice competitors that are free to the public?
ReplyDeleteIf you are not receiving the calls, make sure you go into your google voice setup and under phones make sure your google talk account is set to receive calls.
ReplyDeleteAlso a caution, you are effectively turning over your google account login information to a third party when you use this service (similar to how the Android App GrooveIP works). Their servers create a google talk login profile for you, and login to your google account to receive voice calls. For some that may be a big trust issue.
There are many internet phone services that use the Sip protocol like Axvoice. I wonder what is so special about this protocol? There are other protocols used in VoIP industry as well but not as commonly as Sip.
ReplyDeleteTried changing different settings in Google Voice but cannot receive any calls. Outbound calls are OK. Does anyone know the solution?
ReplyDeleteFree calls to the US and Canada! Even Nettalk Duo also offers the same call plans. Plus you do not need a computer to make and receive these calls.
