Betamax call rate comparison to India, one cent call by intervoip

You might have heard about justvoip, voipraider etc.., These all comes under the same company, called Betamax GmbH & Co. KG, based at Köln Germany. They are the owner of these 27 Voip sites promising to provide cheapest call.

Every time Betamx lunches new website with lowest rate to India and slowly-slowly increase the rate to normal price. I worked out little bit to find out the latest rates offered by different Betamax voip providers. Each provider is linked with the corresponding web site and calling rates to India is shown in different column. The lowest rate is in Red bold.

Right now, intervoip is providing the one euro cent call to India, you can register and buy the credit using moneybookers or paypal ((What are Moneybookers and Paypal?))and start making cheap call to India.

  1. Hey ppl any1 is used intervoip ?
    hope is genuine voip service....
    from ashish

    Hi ashish,
intervoip is a genuine voip service which belongs to Geramn Betamax GmbH & Co and Swiss Finarea SA

You can see that there software is verified by microsoft.

They have lot of payment modes

There are few problems with betamax, you can googel them and fine more details.

    1. Their customer ssupport is almost zero.

    2. They have automatic call abuse checking system, if your account is found to be abusing their policy, your account will be suspended without no reasons. and you will not be refunded the money.

    3. If you already have regitered for another betamx service (check the 27 serivces list on my blog), then you will not be able to register with the same name, and also you can not use the same payment method that you used before.

    4. Their initial call rate is really very cheap.., within one month, it will be 2 cents and finaly it will be increased to 3-5 cents per min and keep on increasing. meanwhile they will launch another another service offering 1 cent call.

I hope that the picture is clear to you, what is their policy..

and you can decide what to do?

Intervoip works in the same way as other betamax services.., you can search my older posts of betamx for more details.

    Thanks

  2. Is Intervoip works same as there DialNow service?

    ReplyDelete

  3. Hi Anony..

You can use intervoip as you use dialnow through access numbers but not from all countries.. you can use intervoip only from
    Austria
    France
    Germany
    Ireland
    Mexico
    Netherlands
    Spain
    Switzerland
    United Kingdom

at the same time you can use dialnow from
    Argentina
    Australia
    Austria
    Belgium
    Brazil
    Canada
    Denmark
    Finland
    France
    Germany
    Hungary
    Ireland
    Italy
    Japan
    Mexico
    Netherlands
    Norway
    Peru
    Romania
    Spain
    Sweden
    Switzerland
    United Kingdom

But the good thing with intervoip is you can download the dialer and call through your PC, in this way you can save the cost of calling access numbers, you can not do this with dialnow.

Apart from this, you can use phone to phone call (web initiated call) in both cases but there is a connection fee of 5 cents for each call.

  4. INTERVOIP does not offer paypal as a mode of payment as indicated in the blog.. the other modes of payments look shady to me .. like direct transfer, western union transfer, agents etc.

    ReplyDelete

  5. Dear Anony..

The available payment methods depend on the country you registered. If you have registered from a country where paypal or money bookers are not supported, then you will not see that option.

Now, you can do re-registration selecting your country as INDIA..

You will see paypal in your payment method as well as you will save the VAT also.

  8. Hi Meravikas,

Which one is the best service to call India from USA by Mobile.

Pls help me out. I don't have internet access so pls I have to make call from my mobile only. so pls reply accordingly soon.

    Prit

    Dear Pritesh,
Thanks for the mail, I think you can try either rebtel or stanacard... here are the links for details

One Hour free call trial call from Rebtel

Spend 10 USD and get 40+ USD, Call India at 78 paise per min

With both you can get 20 USD, when you purchase for 10 USD.

You need internet only to register your number and the numbers you want to call, after registering the numbers you want to call, then will give you a local access number, you need to save that number and then make a call.., you can try this with the rebtel One Hour free call trial call from Rebtel
. Once you have your number registered, you do not need internet to make a call, just take your phone and dial the local access number. Thats it. First try and leave me a comment on the blog.

    Thanks
    Vikas

  9. I was using intervoip without any problem. But recently I tried to register more than 3 accounts (for my friends)its showing error message like error-32(unknown error). Can u tell me how can we create more than 3 accounts from the same system?

    ReplyDelete

  10. Hi Negi,
Now you will not be able to register for any betamax software using your same PC. I had read somewhere that it modifies your registry entries. But I am not sure.., but do not worry...

    You can go for websignup..

    Try this link
    http://www.intervoip.com/en/websignup.php

I hope it will work, if not try to do system restore, but I am not positive about it.

Finally: DO NOT TRY TO CREATE LOT OF ACCOUNTS,IT MAY BE POSSIBLE THAT YOUR ACCOUNT CAN BE BLOCKED BY BETAMAX EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE SOME CREDITS IN YOUR ACCOUNT.

    Good luck

  11. .. hi you seem an expert on VoipPhone. I just registered on InterVoip.com.
    How is the service?
I baught credit of Euro 10/- and made the first call on a cell phone to India.
It said 5 cents for connection and 2.5 cents per min. just to confirm: for 15 min calls: i would have spent: 5 cents + 37.5 cents = 42.5 cents? is this correct? its really low. By the way, when i disconnected the call, the clock still clicked on.. and i jogged out. Will this clock still continue to click in their system and I am billed?

Will TIM charge me also because i made the phone call using TIM land line. I hope not, because if TIM also charges me international call for 15 mins, i am for a big surprise.

    Hi BHUYAN,

As per your discussion, I guess that you have used Phone 2 phone connect feature of intervoip. that is the reason you are paying 5 cents as connection charges.

You are right, you will pay 42.5 cents for 15 mins call to India using phone to phone feature. If you use the free InterVoip dialer you will pay only 30 cents for the call to a cell phone in India, but for that you need to have the good speed internet connection.

About the clock you do not worry, it will be charged untill the both side phones were hungup, it means disconnected. YOu can check the biiled call in the recent call saction. I hope you are not chrged extra.

The clock proplem was due to the bad internet connection, I hope. Because at the time you disconnected the call, the internect connection may be down, OR Timeout for intervoip.

Your TIM landline is only receiving the call (Phone to Phone), so No charge for that.

Please leave your comment, if you are satisfied with my comments.

    Thanks

  15. I had been subscribing to one of many Betamax VOIP services to call USA/Canada and International countries for free past 120 days.

To top up my account in order to buy more credits and continue another 120 of free calls I have to verify my account using their call back SMS to my mobile phone for a verification code to be entered in the verification box. Only if you want to pay by credit card or PayPal (see below).

Here is the kicker, the problem is that the SMS code never arrives to the mobile phone for one reason or other if you are based in North America. To over come this, I changed my mobile phone number to my friend in Asia and presto a six letter aphabet code is sent to my friend's phone. Both you and your friend must be on MSM/Skype.etc. so you can get the code live. But it was a futile excercise if you want to pay by CC or PayPal, as both this options has been removed. To conclude don't waste your time with verification as you can still top up without verification by using bank transfer or go through the many VOIP resellers (you may have to take a risk).
