CalltoPBX unlimited calling plan: Call India plus 80 destinations free for $10/month

Big news for the people looking for unlimited calls to India. CalltoPBX is offering unlimited calling to around 80 destinations worldwide for $10/month (simple call – non BPX plan) and India is included in the list.

CalltoPBX, also working under domain voiceserve.net, which is powered by voipswitch offers basic, premium and professional VoIP telephony services catering for both residential and business customers. The simplest and cheapest plan is non PBX plan.

The Simple Call - non BPX Plan is associated with a SIP account which can be used with VoIP hardware devices or Communicator softphones or Mobile Softphone dialers.

Fair use policy and Limitations:
Fair use monthly minutes limitations and minimum contract period is not specified clearly on the website, but when I talk to customer care, they said it would be around 2500 minutes per month. The company also does not bound you to sign any contract. However they reserve the rights to suspend/terminate the account if they found some fraud or excessive use of the account. There is no trial period and you have use the credit card to start using this service.

Their regular rates to India varies between 4-6 cents per minute, much costlier than other providers.

Unlimited calls for $10 per month is really a good offer. The service seems to be legitimate. We have not tried this service, we are writing this based on the information available on the website.     Someone tell me that Out of the total 2500 mins available for 10 USD can all of it be used to make call to a specific country(in my case say India)or there is some limitation on a country or location like Lingo voip unlimited calls.

  9. For offline problem, close/kill the dilaer and start again, then it should work.

    For the monthly limits, I think you can use 2500 minutes limitation to any of the country marked free.

    Moreover, if any one of you having more questions and queries, please do comment here.

  10. i registered yesterday nite unable to call any number. tried it on ipod touch sometimes it gives number not found error or else i dint get any sound ..and today tries using nimbuzz on nokia it says number not found..tries us and india numbers..and now tried pc client it says number not allowed..and finally tried on website itself dialer says offline..i think i wasted my 10$..try this service if you have enough time to troubleshoot or else you have some extra money to try new services..

    We are under reviewing this service for the last one week.

    Try calling without 00 or +, means to call India just dial 91XXXXX. It should work.

    Try first with web flash dialer or vippie dialer then try for iphone.

    Your $10 would not be waste.

  16. It is true that calltopbx has some issues and they are working on it, one of the issue is negative billing. Don't worry about it and keep on calling.

    Before next recharge, just make sure that you have 0 balance.

  23. Connect two does not work, but call option works for me, so I can not comment on the problem you are facing. Because you said the you can hear the phone ringing.

    I think there is some limit to the number of minutes we can talk daily because after talking 1hr, next time calls doesn't go..I can hear only rings after that.

    1. One the right hand side click on simplecall $10 residential plan
    2. then click on sign up
    3. select simplecall 9.99 USD
    4. Fill in teh details followed by payment.

    You will pay 9.99 and the limitation is 2500 monthly minutes.

    First I would say, Don't worry and start calling. There are still some bugs in their system and working on them, but it does not affect the unlimited calling. Some people get 0 balance and also they have negative balance, but still call.

    In case you are not able to call unlimited, then
    How much is debited from your credit card. Are you sure that you selected the simple call before registration, because you can also select pay as you go, which costs 4.99.

    If you want to use it, you must use your main credit card.

  40. No Luck Registering for me too....tried more than 10 times with different real credit cards...every time simply says: "There were problems with your transaction, and it's actual status is Canceled".

    After trying for so many times, now I got a feeling of fraud and worried what would be done with my card numbers.

  43. If you use the 3G, you minutes will not be deducted. You need to use the fring. Their iphone software does not work for this plan.

    Calling via 3G network used your internet data, not the calling minutes.

    Sometimes the service is down for an hour or for longer period and again starts working. This is one of the problem.

    But overall it is a good saving of money.

  46. ok..mine is working for now..but it shows negative balance and we have no way know when we have reached 2500 minutes other than trusting them...i guess they gonna begin charging us from 1000 minutes claiming we have reached the limit! if there is a little more reliability in this service it may reach many people.

  47. Hi I registered with CALLTOPBX few days back and recharged my account with 1.99 USD. I haven't made a single call yet but my balance is already 1.90 USD. In my call history it is showing that a call was made to Indian Mobile number but i never called that number. I tried to contact the customer care through mail but they are not answering. Want to use my own SIP device but the device setting link on the website not working. can anybody help me with the settings. Thanks in advance.

While signing up for 10$ nonpbx plan i got an option for Pay as you go and made a one time payment of 4.99 $ to create a prepaid account. And then recharged my account with 1.99$ to test their service. Please tell me do you have any idea about INPHONEX(www.inphonex.com) world unlimited plan(19.95$)? How many minutes they offer per month to call as per the fair use policy?

    As it has been already discussed that iphone app will not work with this plan, you will have to use either PC or web calling.

    You can use fring for your iphone and use their sip settings. You can use sip.calltopbx.com as proxy along with your user name and password.

  62. calltopbx is offering too much to call India, so offer is really great, but there are many limitations. Just comparing to other services, even if you are able to call 1000 minutes using calltopbx, you are not in loss.

    I think, there is no way to recharge your account with simple call plan, if you recharge it will be like pay as you go plan eventually you will pay 4 cents per min.

    So I would suggest you to create new account using the same credit card. Check if you can retain the same user id.

    Or wait for some time, I will try to find out the solution.

    you can recharge from the web, the money will be added to your account, you can select the amount. To do so log in to the web portal and go to Recharge menu.
    The SimpleCall plan is 9,99 per month and such amount will be deducted from your account automatically every month

    You can use calltopbx IPhone dialer with any of the plans. After installing from Appstore it will ask you to enter login and pwd or to create a new account. If you have an account already simply enter the username and password and it should register. The dialer works over both Wifi and 3g/edge. It uses higly compressed g729 codec

    i have started to use this service from yesterday onwards only. sound quality is acceptable sometimes. but the problem is other than the indian mobile numbers for.eg. like u.a.e. and iraq when i try to call from pc software it is showing "not found " even the landline number of u.a.e. i dont understand whats wrong with it. i am using simple call plan.could you explain me what is the problem on it.but i can call india without any problem.

  70. simple plan call works only for outbound calls to 79 countries and in that list India is included. Calls to UAE oe irqa are not included in the list. In order to call those countries, you need to use pay as you go plan.

    This is not a unlimited call,I wanted to let you now all that, my call duration was 3:57:25 or (14245 secs) and cost was $5.0113, I had $9.99 simple call, it clearely means it is not unlimited or atleast 2500 minutes,Please aware of this.

    It worked fine for me the first month. I recharged for the next month via my iphone for $9.99. But when the balance became zero, i could not make further calls.
    I call only India numbers.
    Is this plan, unlimited only for the first month?

  75. Some information for the users:

    calltopbx works for me and I can make calls using x-lite and my old sunrocket gizmo with the sip settings for calltopbx. Calls are clear although you may not get a clear line on your first attempt.
    1) You will see two charges in your charges history. One is the charge for $9.99 made to your credit card and the other $9.99 applied towards the "Simple call" plan from the first $9.99. So, you are really charged only once.
    2) In my experience, it is nearly impossible to make an international call from within the portal of calltopbx. The calls will go through but they will be unclear. You won't hear anything. To make meaningful calls, download a third party tool like x-lite. Add settings for calltopbx (the sip settings should be sip.calltopbx.com). Once you call the number, it takes about a minute to hear the ringing on the other side. Numbers need to be called with a "00" prefix followed by the country code and then the number. If you configure your gizmo/voip telephone adapter to make calls, the call goes through almost immediately. You need to dial only 91[the number] for India. There is no need to prefix 011 or 00.

    I have been using calltopbx since one month and it was working fine most of the time having some call drop issue, after I recharged it with $9.99 and I could able to call only for some 350 minutes later I its balance went to $0.00 and I can not call anymore, I have not used 2000 minutes after July 15th, Can anybody let me know having this issue? and I even mailed the support team I never get back from them, or is there any other similar plan which I can use and I should be able to call using 3G with out loosing my monthly limited minutes.Please advice...     First of all please know We are extremely sorry for this situation.
    Yesterday we have run auto-recharge service. It will help our customers to automatically recharge and allow us to continue providing call packs services for them.

    Auto-recharge service works like that:
    If you have sufficient money prepaided on your account then we will automatically take it one time a month and give you free minutes for next month.
    Please remember that in the next billing day if you won't have sufficient amount for call plan you use prepaided on your account and we won't be able to take money for that and give you free minutes for next month your account will be deactivated.
    This service sends you notifications about planned auto-recharge two days before your next billing day.
    For example if you use simpleCall plan and you have 20$ prepaided on your account and you started using our service on 19 July then we will send you notification about planned auto-recharge on 17 August and on 19 July we will take automatically 9.99$ from your prepaided amount and run simpleCall with free minutes for next month.
    You don't have to worry every month about remember when is your billing day.

    However yesterday, when we run this service, it deactivated all accounts with 0.00$ prepaided. It is fixed now and all this accounts are active again.

    Please take our apologies for that matter.

    I am tempted to use this service, but not sure if it will be satisfactory...I am currently using vonage for last 8 months (plan v4i) and the call quality is extremely satisfying. no prob at all. But I pay £19.00 for 2000 min(fair usage of policy). Once I crossed 2500 min, and they terminated my line. had to pay another fiver to enable it.
    Will be good if anyone shares any good/bad experience with this company..

  90. stay away, it's not free, the add is a lie. i will get my money back even i have to dispute the charge. it was a reason for the credit card to call right away after they charging my card. the softphone has no registration and it might harm your computer. i uninstalled it but still don't know the level of damage yet. STAY AWAY! Better use some USA company with US customer service. it's secure and you could really talk to somebody who understands business.

I refilled my account paying $9.99 for Simple Call plan. but unfortunatley it does not show 0 balance. Every time I call it charges me. I spent $1.00/minute call to Canada. This is really a rip off and they are charging me to call to unlimited free calling destination. I think I lost my money.

    Recently we had met with few billing errors.
    We give money back to client's accounts in a minute after information that they have been wrongly billed.

    The main problem with you guys are your customer service is not available for 24 hours.If I have any problem I cannot seek help right away. most of the time you are offline. I am in Canada.People will not be able to wait 24 hours for your reply. This is all because of the time difference.

  98. i understand that there are soem problems, i have been a user with calltopbx since last 10 months .and i wont deny that there are glitches but all the problems i faced were overlooked by me when i came across their customer support systerm .i have no second thought when i say that call to pbx offers the best customer support i have ever come across or ill ever come across ,rapid informaiton and help to my queries within 24 hrs has made my trust grow even stronger ,i am a fan and a customer for life

  101. iphone app is very bad and has bugs. when i use calltopbx on my iphone all my contacts got deleted from phone and even sim card. i wonder how it is programmed so that it can erase sim data? luckily i had contacts in my old phone and copied them back again. but evert time i use calltopbx app my contacts are getting deleted and im having to sync them again to phone.

  105. I have recently signup for simple call plan I am using voip router at home. I have downloaded tunnel version of softphone and not able to log in. I got “failed to login” message everytime. I have tried same in sony ericssion vivaz mobile phone and got the same message. Can anyone advise what to do? any help much appreciated

  108. @ Hardik.. dude.. u have 2 mail dem n ask dem to activate unlimited calling plan manually.

    I just passed through it..

    First month, i successfully called unlimited times 2 indyaaa , but den after 1 mnth, each tym i call, it sais call not found n i got to know dt my billing perios is over. Then i recharged again after 2 weeks, n started calling,n surprisingly my balance got nil. Then i mailed dem, n d person said dt u hv2 recharged again n den mail me, so i"ll activate again manually. n i did d same n mail him, n nw i cn make call again. bt i lost my lst balance.

    It has calling issues sumtymz.. lyk ri8 nw , wen i try 2 call it says call not found... i restarted ma ipod many tyms bt nt wrking..!! i hope 2mrw itz gonna strt wrkin again..!!

  111. I know some people have issue in recharging after completion of one month, so I decided for a new account. First month with first account was ok, but now it takes me to dial at least 20-30 times to place a call.

    Looks like this company is dead. Pl don't signup anymore. I have tried to reach them many times and they are not responding now. My account is registered with sanjib.Patra at hotmail dot com. Pl mail me if u have any queries.

    Again advise. Pl don't signup anymore....

  120. Never ever take up this service ONE OF THE WORK VOIP PROVIDER I have ever used most of the time the call doesn't get connected and if it gets connected call quality is too poor. WASTE OF MONEY. Please STAY AWAY from this service.

    Now simple plan 20$ as per main screen but they charged to 30$. After registered Can't able to call any number. tried tried several times with out "00 or +" but not working. please don't buy and don't waste your money.

    But from past 10 days it stopped working and also its coming as FORBIDDEN on my iphone screen where it should show my balance amount ?
    Do u have any idea abt this
