Nokia has been launching all new gadgets in the markets challenging the competitors and surprising its target audiences. It has recently launched a beautifully geared up touchscreen phone Nokia 5230 XpressMusic in the mobile phones market. After the launch of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia was running far behind in the race of Touchscreen cell phones. It has proven that after the successful launch of net books with latest 3G Booklet and the N97 series, Nokia is also serious enough to new launch Touchscreen series and will outshine the market once again.

LowCaller for Symbian Nokia phones, Make direct calls from you mobile using betamax access numbers
The recently introduced feature of the betamax services is "Nokia Phone: LowCaller", which allows you to make calls from your mobile exactly the same way as you do now. No need to dial the betamax access number or storing the same contact as a new number.
This service does not use any internet 3g, GPRS data plan. It will only by pass the step of dialing the local access number from your mobile and you will be charged the local rate for that call. So try this feature only when you have unlimited or free minutes to call to local access number.
To use the lowcaller, you need to download & install this application. You can download this for your Nokia (and most other Symbian devices) N series, E series phone like N78, N85 etc.
Click here to downlaod, alternatively you can visit your corresponding betamax service and download the Lowcaller_v1.sis file.
For more information visit http://www.lowcaller.com/info.php
After installation you can view or change the LowCaller settings.
On your mobile phone go to Menu --> Applications --> LowCaller.
- Active: enable or disable LowCaller
- Autostart: starts LowCaller when you switch on your mobile phone
- Local Access Number: displays the geographic access number; this cannot be changed
- Use Local Access Nr: select to use LowCaller for all calls or only when you are calling abroad
- Ask me: select if you want LowCaller to automatically redirect all calls via the local geographic number or to ask before every call
Using the LowCaller is disabled when you are abroad and roaming on a foreign network.
At this time Lowcaller is only available in these countries:
- Austria
- France
- Germany
- Ireland
- Netherlands
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom

Nokia internet telephone, Betamax SIP settings for NOKIA e series mobile phones (e51, e61, e71, e81, e91)
Nokia e series phones come with inbuilt VoIP SIP calling facility. By using this facility you can make VoIP calls directly from your cell phone using your wireless network or 3G/Edge network and any of the sip enabled VoIP services like jumblo, smartvoip, actionvoip. You don't have to download fring and nimbuzz to use these settings, however fring is easier to configure.
Nokia e series models are
Nokia e5x series: e50 e51 e55
Nokia e6x series: e60 e61 e61i e62 e63 e65 e66
Nokia e7x series: e70 e71 e71x e72
Nokia e8x series: e80 e81 e82 e83
Nokia e9x series: e90 e91 e95 e96 e97 e90communicator
If you own any of the phone, then you can try these setting to save on your international calls. I own Nokia e71 and home wi-fi and its really great to call using this feature of Nokia internet telephone, My calls to India get connected faster than the normal cellular call.
These settings are common for all betamax/dellmot services, just replace betamax.com from your provider name, in the case of smartvoip or jumblo, You need to replace sip.betamax.com with sip.smartvoip.com or sip.jumblo.com
Please follow these steps
STEP 1
Open the SIP Settings (Tools / Settings / Connection / SIP settings).
Make a profile (something like this, check your phone)
Profile Name: My VoIP Profile (You can choose your desired name)
Profile: IETF (keep it at the default)
Access point: (your AP name, like wi-fi or 3G connection)
Public user name: username@sip.betamax.com (replace the username with your own username, and the sip.betamax.com with the one provided by your provider;like sip.actionvoip.com etc.)
Use Compression: No
Registration: Always on (or the other one, if you want it to be on-demand)
Use Security: No
STEP 2 - Skip the proxy setting
Proxy Server Address: none
Registrar Server: none

User Name: none
( just skip above step 2)
STEP 3 - Pay attention to Registrar settings

You should see successful registration, Now you should be able to make the call, try to call using the internet call facility, if it does not work reboot your phone.
STEP 5
