Airtel Pay per Second Plan Prepaid mobile Review and Comparision

India`s biggest telecom company Bharti Airtel has joined the latest price war in market. Airtel has biggest subscriber base of 110 million and network coverage in INDIA. Although Airtel services are little costlier but it is best you can get on your mobile phone. Now Airtel has bring smile on millions of its subscribers with launch of Airtel Freedom Pay per second Plan. We have review Airtel Pay per second plan and compared it with other service providers.

In my opinion per second billing is very much useful for users. If you talk for 20 second and paying for 1 minute then it never seems a fair deal. Believe it or not, most of the time you will end up with 1 minute and 2 sec, and pay for full 2 minutes. So with per second billing definetly you will save something every time you make a call. Main point in recent pay per second plans is low tariff rate. Normally with per minute billing you pay 1.50Rs/min without any tariff cutter and with pay per second plans you will pay less than 1 Rs per minute. Now coming to Airtel Freedom plan --
  • All A2A local and STD calls at – 1p / sec
  • All Airtel to other calls at – 1.2p / sec
  • ILD / SMS / Roaming charges will continue at current tariffs and 60 sec pulse
  • 1 year tariff validity
  • Tariff voucher cost range from Rs-64 to Rs75 depending on the circle.
There are few limitations in Airtel Freedom plan Like --

This plan can not be clubbed with any other special tariff voucher, if you are in any tariff cutter and you recharge for this plan then your previous benefits will be stopped. Airtel recently launched Hello 5 plan, with this plan you get reduced call rates for 5 special Airtel numbers. So if you are Hello 5 plan user and you recharge for Freedom Plan then for those 5 number you still enjoy per min pulse with reduced rate and other numbers on per second tariff.

Comparison with other subscribers::

Tariff
As of now Airtel, BSNL, TATA Docomo, TATA Indicom, MTS and Aircel are providing Pay per second plans. Cheapest are TATA and Aircell with a flat rate of 1paise/sec for all phone across nation. BSNL is costliest with STD rate of 2paisa/min.

Voucher cost
Airtel, BSNL and MTS provide per second plan of fix voucher cost ranging from 45 Rs to 77 Rs. Where as Aircel and TATA DOCOMO are providing Per second billing free of cost.

Tariff cutters in per second Billing Plan
Only Aircel has one tariff cutter of 45Rs/month which will make local call rate to half paise/sec. None of other service provider has introduced Rate cutters in Per second Billing.

Roaming
Roaming rate is default for all. No per second billing in Roaming. If you want cheap roaming, go with Reliance Special plan which will give you 50paisa/min even in roaming

So which one you choose....

  4. It’s so nice that Bhatia Airtel launched the Airtel Freedom Pay per second plan. Many consumers will be aware of their calling rates because it was now paid per second. A unique idea for a call rate. But now there is a prepaid online that offer domestic and international calling cards online. You can inquire on it online to know their promo and other saving rewards. Many people nowadays are using this system because it is very convenient and easy.
