Using DialNow from anywhere in the World to make cheapest call to India

Last time I published the blog about Dialnow offering cheapest call to India, one cents per minutes (60 paise per minute), but these calls are limited to few countries. But this blog will help you in making this cheapsed call from anywhere in the world.

Latest update is Dailnow has increased its rates from 0.010 EUR to 0.015 EUR, anyway still it’s the cheapest one. I hope within two months they will increase this rates to around 0.030 EUR, before they increase the rates, one can use this cheapest service to make a call to India.

Real way to call using Dialnow is the PIN Less dialing that is only allowed only from the registered phone. That will only work from the list of coutries supported by DialNow.

Now what if you make call from a country which ais not in the list of countries.

I have taken some lines on the FAQ section of DialNow and we will use this option

So we will use this option to use Dialnow any where in the world and we will say it dial with PIN, it is similar to buying a Calling card and dialing the number.

1. Register your access number of Canada, so that you will save on 19% EU VAT. For this you have to select your country as Canada
2. Register with real Telephone number, because you number need to be verified before buying the credit, if you do not have any VOIP in number, you can have (Free US telephone )

Once you have the credits you are ready to make a call.

Now I will tell you three options by which you will not pay for the international call.

Option 1

(Those who are already using any Betamax services like nonoh or justvoip)
Use the free calls of to dial the access number, once you are connected, you will hear a message

“You are not calling from the telephone number you registered on the web site, to make use of this service, you will now have to enter your nine digit PIN code, to proceed with entering your PIN code press 3, if you do not have your PIN code in hand please press 4”

For making the call, please press 3 and Please enter your nine digit PIN code after the Bip.

Once your PIN is accepted you can make call from any phone in the world.


Option 2
(If you do not use any of the betamax services )
Then you can use click2voice for free, (click here to read more)
Otherwise you can use any other voipservice like yahoovoice or any (as calls to Canada are almost free) then the cost of the call would be little bit higher but still the cheapest.

Option 3
Apart from this you can always use phone to phone to connect the call, in this case if you are calling from japan to India you will pay 1 EUR cent for Japan and 1.5 UER cents for India, Total the call would cost 2.5 EUR cents per min, along with 5 EUR cents connection fee.

Comparison for other countries for option 3,
US to India: 2.0 EUR cents per min and 65 EUR Cents for 30 Min
Italy to India: 2.0 EUR cents per min and 65 EUR Cents for 30 Min
China to India: 2.0 EUR cents per min and 65 EUR Cents for 30 Min
UAE to India: 9.5 EUR cents per min and 2.9 EUR for 30 Min

Dialnow offering cheapest call to India, one cents per minutes (60 paise per minute)

DialNow, is one of the Betamax services with a concept similar to mobivox or rebtel. Or in another words it is similar to buying a calling card. It will not provide you any softphone like justvoip, voipcheap etc, it will provide you a access number and a PIN which will recognize your phone by the caller ID information and will allow you to make a call if you have sufficient credit in your account. If you are not dialing from your registered phone, you will have to dial the PIN.

To promote this service, it has reduced its calling rates to India at the rate of 1 cents per minute or 60 paise per minute, if you have unlimited calling plan from your landline or from your cell phone, you can almost say, oh its “free call to India”.

Because of the restriction to the access numbers, you can not use this service from all the countires, for example Italy is not included in the list. The countries from which you can use this service are Argentina, Austrlia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom (UK).

Follow the steps written in the Caller ID and Caller line identification with betamax, like justvoip, nonoh etc and set 40426245670 or 4042624567999 as your caller ID.

Once your caller ID is verified, call to the local access number given by the Rebtel.

Step C
If you are not using any betamx services, then read this Free calls from India to US/Canada, UK, Europe and many more and start following step B2

Once your 10 Mins are finished, start from the step A and make another 10 mins of call. Repeat and make.

Caller ID and Caller line identification with betamax, like justvoip, nonoh etc

This blog is not about making free calls, but I thought of writing it because it is useful to use CLI with betamax services like 12voip, Dialnow, Freecall, Internetcalls, Justvoip, Lowratevoip, Netappel, Nonoh, Poivy, Sipdiscount, Smsdiscount, Sparvoip, Voipbuster, Voipbusterpro, Voipcheap, Voipcheap, Voipdiscount, Voipraider, Voipstunt, Voipwise, Webcalldirect, voicetrading etc.

Please note that when I am referring Betamax means any of the above mentioned service that you are using.

This service is free from Betamax. You only pay the cost of SMS from getting the verification code in the case you add a cell phone.

What is CLI?
CLI stands for Caller Line Identity or Caller line Identification, this facility allows customers to see who is calling them before they answer the phone.
Just think how you feel when you receive a call showing Unknown number.

What is Caller ID?
Caller ID is the identity of the caller, with the normal phone or cell phone connection it is default, but if you are using VoIP softphone, then you have to enable this service and set your caller ID. If you have set caller ID as your phone number and whenever you make a call, your phone number (Caller ID) is transmitted along with the call and it is displayed in the receiver’s phone. If you have not set your phone number as a caller ID, then VoIP softphone will consider your user ID as a caller ID and will display Unknown number when you make a call using the softphone.

Yahoo voice, globe7 do not give you facilities to enable your caller ID.

How to activate your caller identification in your Betamax softphone
Goto Tools>>Options>>then click on the Caller ID on the side bar >> >>
Then you will see the phone numbers available from your profile and No Caller ID at the bottom is checked.

You can add upto five phones as your caller ID but you can have only one as a default as a caller ID, If you have not added any phone as your, you will see all the number blank and No Caller ID at the bottom is checked.

To add the number, click on the Edit my xxxxxxx profile (replace xxxxxxxx with your betamax provider like justvoip), you will see a popup window with customize your profile with your phone numbers. You can add up to five numbers in the list of phone numbers.
(Betamax used to provide VoIP-in number, but now it is no more providing it)

Once you will add the number in your profile, click ok.
Then you will see the number in the list of phone numbers available from your profile, and verify. Now click to verify the phone.

If you have added cell phone, you will receive a SMS with the code to activate

If you are adding a landline phone, a code will be displayed on the screen and immediately you will receive a call asking to dial your code, once you type the correct code, you will get a message; thank you your phone is verified.

Do not forget to uncheck the No Caller ID. Otherwise your caller ID will not be activated.

When you use phone to phone calling service from betamax, like nonoh, you do not have any connection fee, your number works as a caller ID, then you need not to set any caller ID.

Rebtel like services works on caller line identification, it identifies your line and the connect you call, you can save the money of local call charges by using the caller line identification. And then you can try the ten min free trial call from rebtel.

After clicking for your first call, first your phone will ring and once you pickup the phone, then a short message from jajah, and then your phoen will be connected. In this way you will get undisrupted five mins calls. After five mins, the call will be disconnected and you will not be able to place call anymore from the same phone number.

Why can you not change your number?
Jajah determines your IP and assign your country code. once you make a free trial call, jajah sets a cookie and your number is stored into computer memory that you can not change. Jajah also stores your number on the server, Now you can not make free trial call from your number that you used last time. If you try to make, it will give a message "You have used up your free minutes. Please register."


Hack:
To avoid this and make free call you need to do two things
1. Clean your cookie
2. Change your number.

How to delete cookies?
You can do this thing with internet explorer, but I request you to download and install firefox so that you do not loose your stored information in internet explorer.

After download, first disable your cookies

For firefox
Goto Tools>>Options..>>Privacy>>Cookies and then check out (un select) the box "Allow sites to set cookies" and then press ok.

For Internet Explorer
Goto Tools>>Internet Options..>>In General tab you will see Browsing history now click on the delete button to delete the Cookies and history. (But you will loose your other stored information) then press ok.

(Please note that You have to delete cookie after each call)

By doing so, your number will not be stored into your PC.

How to change your number stored on the jajah server?
you can not change it but you can add additional digits to the number for eg, a If you have a landline number 1129876543 and if you add an additional digit to your number 11298765430, 1129876543123 or 112987654390059 it will ring the same phone because the first 10 digit of the phone is same. Doing so every time you make a call, jajah will recognize it as a new number.

Jajah supports 14-16 digit number of India, UK, Germany and many more country (try this If your country supports) but most of the telephone numbers are 10 digits only, If your number is 10 digit (for eg 1129876543 ) and if you add additional 4 digits at the end (11298765439999) the same phone will ring but the server will recognize as different number. So start with adding 0 at the end of your number and endup with the maximum supported digits for eg 999999, In this case you can me 5000000 Mins of free calls, seems to be unlimited.

All US number are restricted to 10 digits, so you can not add additional digit to your number, so the call is limited to 5 mins only.

Italian telephone numbers are with varying length and maximum supported length is 11 digit, but most of the telephone numbers are 10 digits so if you add 11th digit, you can make 11 calls of 5 mins each.

So, every time you finish your five minutes free trial call, start adding or changing the additional digits (from 0-999999 or to maximum supported length) to your number. In this way you can make unlimited free calls.

To make Unlimited free call repeat the procedure shown above

Third: Globe7 (Click here for details), you can call india for approx 2 Rs per min.

Fourth: Justvoip (http://www.justvoip.com/), you can call India for for 3.5 cents per min (around 2.1 Rs per min) and it is independent of the country from where you are calling. You can call using your PC.

Please not that the quality is excillent even if is very cheap. Apart from that it takes seconds to get your call connected. (I am not very much sure about the Globe7)

Fifteen Minutes per Month free calls to India

jaxtr link you phone is a unique VoIP service which works with all landlines and mobile in the world. In its beta version, it is offering 100 jaxtr mins per month (equivalent to 14-16 min of per month free calls to India)

The method to do it is little bit complicated, but I hope this blog will simplify it and help you to make free calls...

1. Resister yourself at http://www.jaxtr.com/
2. choose a proper screen name (login name), that name will be used to call you.
3. Skip next two pages (see at the bottom of that page)
Now, You will see your home page, Now you can add up to three numbers, but add only one number, the number you wish to call in India

4. On the top of the page, you will see the option to "Add your phone"Click to add your phone
5. Now Select country as India and then add Indian number that you want to call
6. Then click on the "Click me to verify"

After you click, the number you have written will ring and also You will see a two digit code on the screen that one has to enter to verify the phone Try your self 2-3 times without entering the code (because you are not at the phone) and check your home page if the phone is listed at the send calls to or not. if you are lucky enough, your phone will be verified automatically, if not (This is the problem, you have to think, how you can verify your Indian phone for eg, you can take help of online chat or you can tell your family of friend in India to do this process)

Important: Don't forget to unchek (disable) the PrivacyShield, other wise the calls will be directed to your voice mail

After number verification, you also have to verify you e-mail, check your mail.

Jaxtr gives 100 jaxtr free mins per month, and the call to India is 6-7 jaxtr min per month, once you finish your jaxtr mins, you have to wait for the next month, but generally everybody has 2-3 phones/cellphones , you can add all with different ID and enjoy more free mins.

Jaxtr service works from India also and the local access number is from Mumbai but I am not sure about its efficiency. I tried to be called from India but it was not success full, in this case one can get 100 mins of talking if one is using landlines in US and EU.

MTNL is the first to offer Internet telephony or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) where subscribers can benefit from ultra cheap ISD calls without even having a PC. For those who make a decision to access MTNL’s Internet telephony via PCs,

The name of the service would be “Netfone” and shall be available to about 150 countries. If you have the PC and broadband, you can make ISD calls as low as 10 paise per min.

The users, who do not have a computer, but wish to make cheap ISD calls, just subscribe to MTNL’s broadband connection and also purchase an Analog Telephone Adaptor (ADA) from the PSU for just Rs 1,500. The adaptor changes the fixed line phone into an IP machine in order that the subscriber does not have to make use of a PC and carry it over the broadband Internet connection.

The customers will be given the choice of two types of plans. In the first plan, for a monthly rental of Rs 200, you can get 400 minutes of SIP-to-SIP calls free and 20 paise per minute subsequently. This plan is called Plan VoIP 200. In the second plan, you will pay a monthly rental of Rs 400 and get 800 minutes of SIP-to-SIP calls free and 10 paise per minute thereafter.

Right now this service is available to Delhi and Mumbai based broadband customers and they will be capable of making an ISD call to any part of the world.
